Today’s guests: Bubbles, Boston, ChiChi, Taj & Annabelle
Lots of ins and outs in the middle of the long weekend and glorious weather.
Bubbles, a gorgeous grey kitten recently adopted from the AWL, has settled in nicely and is doing cute faces for everyone. She’s had a good play and ate all her dinner and breakfast.
Not so lucky with the camera with Boston that is still feeling shy and wouldn’t look at it, maybe better luck in the next few days.
ChiChi is getting adjusted, loves to look out the window at the next door pond. Lots of yummy duckies.

I'll have that one, ChiChi
Taj has only a couple of days to go, not complaining.

Taj, very handsome!
Beautiful Annabelle is going home today after a short stay.

Today’s guests: Thomas, Olllie and Sonsha and ChiChi
Excellent weather for the long weekend so we have a full cattery and very busy time.
Thomas doesn’t care about the weather as long as he has his beer box.

Ollie and Sonsha taking turns for the chair, scratchie and tunnel say hello to Gail, Sonja and Zane.

Two pairs of cats Wilson and Henry and Mickey and Festa went home today to their respective families. Yesterday it was Meika and Dusky Boy’s turn.
Very happy to announce that Taj has approved at least a couple of our wet food offerings, it was Desire; why did it take us so long to realise!!! He continues to delight everybody with his looks and lovely personality.
Adorable Chi-Chi patrolling the cattery
And we thought it couldn’t happen: a male tortoiseshell kitten has been reported

ChiChi the Burmese came out
August 25, 2009 by templetons
ChiChi came out for a walk only the day after arriving, what a brave puss! She told off a few people that were glaring at her from their rooms and had a look out the window at a noisy lark magpie outside. It might be good for dinner, she commented.

What a beautiful girl! ChiChi
Wilson and Henry very friendly also came out for walkies today. Heat weave continues.

The heatwave continues and it’s seriously not funny; maximum temperature here in the hills was 36 deg C! The pusses don’t seem to mind it at all.
Henry and Wilson continue to enjoy themselves, very relaxed and eating well.

What's for dinner? Henry
Taj also more confident, comes out for walkies and to inspect the place every day. Also eating well and getting lots of cuddles. Milo getting ready to go, looking forward to seeing his mum.
Squashie coming out all the time, says it’s just not right to be locked in a room. Loves to go and look a the other cats through the security doors.
Comet went home today, so we only have two diabetic cats left: Krunchy and Blackie, both doing well. We welcomed Chi-Chi a lovely Burmese, she’s sitting in her bed a bit nervous, will feel better tomorrow.
Found this archive photo of 1914, they sure had to work harder to get funny cat photos!

Guests enjoying heatwave at the Gold Coast
August 22, 2009 by templetons
Hot day for winter today peaking at 30.9 Deg C and windy. Pusses enjoying the unseasonal weather in their patios.
Even Camio a retiring lovely Golden Persian – very hard to photograph with his eyes open- was out in the sun.

Camio looks a bit gruff but is sweet and lovable
Rosie much calmer today, but prefers to stay in her bed when people are around.

Rosie still a bit nervous
Wilson and Henry ( we cannot get Henry to pose) pretty happy in their little white beds.

Nothing thank you, Wilson

A lovely warm day meant that everybody and not only the usual suspects enjoyed the views.
Taj continues to charm us with his looks and gentle nature, but has declared all our wet food ” No Good” and only eats dry. We’ll keep trying to tempt him.
Henry and Wilson very appreciative of their new corner room , spent the day looking at the duckies in the next door pond.
Rosie arrived for a short stay, looking forward to getting to know her.
Midnight a real gentleman, making the most of his stay.

August 19, 2009 by templetons
Taj is feeling more confident and came out for walkies today. What a lovely quiet puss! Nibbling only we expect him to eat a bit better within a couple of days.

A beautiful gentle puss
Lilly and Sashie went home as well as Allie, we miss them already!

Abyssinians, high strung cats
August 18, 2009 by templetons
After being subdued for a few days upon arriving, Milo is now confident enough to be himself and show what a delicate breed Abyssinians are. Always alert and sometimes pacing like real lions, these beautiful cats need gentle treatment.
Fortunately for us, he never stopped eating and is adjusting to a home away from home. His stay will make him a more confident cat, more used to every day noises that are a part of life.
See how beautiful he is

Milo
Taj a beautiful Himalayan cross arrived very calm in his father’s arms. He’s already nibbled on some dry food and spent the afternoon sitting on the lower level (cautious!) of his trampoline bed.

Tak thinking
Fonzie and Mocha two of our Devon regulars had a party – as usual – last night: the furniture was upside down; mischievous and beautiful, they add a bit of spice to life at the cattery.
