Queso the cat eating cereal

Here is Queso (Cheese) the cat, a very picky and smart cat eating the way he likes.

School holidays continue to keep us busy. Pleasant Spring weather, a bit overcast today. Visitors from New Zealand inspected the cattery last week and were impressed.

Funny cats or weird Cat-men?

A windy cooler day so everybody is enjoying the outdoors. We heard that smoke from the back burning near Brisbane affected catteries and dog kennels in that area. Fortunately, in spite of having some haze here in the hills the last few days, all our cats were perfectly fine.

Flat out with nearly a full house for the beginning of the school holidays. We only had time to take some pics when almost everybody had gone to bed for the morning nap!

Cats Adore and Manipulate Women

We knew this already, but now it’s made the scientific news. Cats love and manipulate women. Read all about it here

We don’t think it’s the best idea but a couple of plovers have made a nest on our house’s footpath. You would think that our savage ragdoll cat would have deterred them for the idea but not. We have to be very careful when we leave the house through the front door. We’re going to post progress photos of the incubating to see if the chicks make it. Lots of dogs, cats and horses walk past the nest every day.

A couple of very windy and cool days, yesterday a lot of rain especially in the coast. We went to see the Swell Sculpture Festival at Currumbin Beach and got wet, but it was worth it.

A few new faces at the cattery, here they are.

Bear is eating well and getting cuddles, still adjusting to the cattery. Look at that coat!

Simon’s Cat Is Hungry

Monty the kitten went home today and we will surely miss him. We have new faces including first timers Coco and Sky to compensate for his absence. Not an all rounder beautiful day, a bit patchy so all the cats caught up with their sleep. Here are some of them.
