First of all congratulations to the Gold Coast Cat Club for a fantastic show yesterday, very well organized, lots of DIVINE cats and merchandise and generally a very pleasurable experience for cat people. Don’t miss it next time, for more information visit their website.
A drizzly Sunday morning makes it hard for the photographer to get good pics, most people in bed and the flash becomes a necessity. Still, beauty comes through inspite of everything. Note the Burmese invasion in all shapes and colours!

Kitty the backpacking cat
April 20, 2010 by templetons
Cats featured today: Cub, Solomon, Willy and Jack, Sweet and Thomas and Benny.
Kitty, a gray tabby, is probably the most adventurous cat in the world. She is crossing the American continent with her owners, the French couple of backpackers Guillaume and Laetitia, who are on a 3-year, 9,000-mile journey on foot since September 2008.
Kitty often travels on Guillaume’s backpack with a blue umbrella over her head that protects her from the sun. The couple found her in Louisiana, abandoned on a busy road, when she was still a kitten, a month after the started their journey.
At first, they intended to find her a family. But less than 24 hours later, they were madly in love with her and decided to keep her.
Kitty seems to enjoy the trip as much as her owners. She’s nice to everyone and enjoys the scenery on Guillaume’s shoulder as much as possible.
They will cover 13 countries during their hike, making a statement that it’s possible to live with much less money than we all think, according to Laetitia — even if you have a pet.
According to the latest posts on their web site, they are now in Colombia

A lot of new faces, some happier than others but all enjoying the lovely weather, even if it’s a bit too hot for this time of year. Tisha and Gomez arrived today for a short visit, but weren’t ready for photos yet. Buffy, Pumpkin and Simba here for Easter holidays, ate all their dinner and were getting adjusted quite well, although Buffy would prefer her own room like Simba has. We don’t know why, Pumpkin is an execellent companion.
Thomas and Mocha arrived yesterday; said they would pose for a photo tomorrow.
Siyna and Tasha had a visit from Dad and said get well soon mum , we’d like to see you.
Alberto was here before, but he forgot all about it!
Orion has a new sister Stella, but he chooses to ignore her. We predict that she will win him in the end, she’s a lovely kitten with an extra sweet nature.
Ollie comes out for walkies but has to run back , too dangerous!
We are in love with Leo, a super friendly cuddly Ginger.
Possum is tolerating the cattery, as happy as can be.
Bailey is not talking to us because we had an eye clean-up and he’s sick , sick , sick of it!
