Cat's Mind

Mittens left yesterday and because we couldn’t get a photo of her up while she stayed ( too shy), we’re posting this one taken when mum came to pick her up, but it’s not a very good one. She’s much cutter live.

Lovely Mittens

Ollie and Stevie finally out and about!

Very cool morning but it never lasts long, so by noon we were peeling of the jumpers and enjoying the glorious sun. A few faces lingering after the winter holidays, all excellent cats some louder than others ( Hello Rebby and Oliver!).

Another windy day but the cats don’t seem to mind and frankly we like the cold weather too. Many outs: Hudson, Lulu and Titania have left us a bit sad. Fortunately we have a few new faces that make up for it.

Bubbles warm in bed early

Spooky a beautiful British Short Hair, not even considering going to bed

What do we do now? Spooky to Roscoe

Roscoe stays up late to look at the wildlife ( I'll have that one for dinner)

I think I might have dinner now, Fluffy

I'd better hurry up before Fluffy gets it, Marm

Simon’s cat or why cats should have their own bedrooms

Cats featured today:  Lulu, Mishka, Pumpkin, Rebby, Titania and Tonka

These two videos were posted in The Daily Tail, both hilarious. They illustrate why if you want to get a good night sleep it is essential to ban your puss from your bedroom at night.

A nice day turned into a gloomy one with drizzle first and rain later. We can’t complain because we need the rain, it’s always a gift in an arid country. Pusses behaving really well, just a bunch of great cats at the moment.

Lilly and Sasha are going back home tomorrow but Roscoe, Spooky and Bubbles arrived today, so it’s a consolation.

Ground Control to Major Lulu, can you hear me?

Mishka enjoying the morning sun, hello mum!

Pumpkin patrolling, look at those whiskers

Rebby: Meeowww (more cuddles please!)

Are you sure that I can't go out? Titania (Yes)

Cats featured today Buffy, Clawdia and Smoochie, Gabbie, Hudson, Lulu, Oliver , Rebby , Sabre and Sylvester.

Everyone should have one

Gloomy day but less cool,  everybody going to bed early with the heat pads except for the die hards (usually the young ones). Monty and Dweezil went back home today, so only a few left wanting to be out until late.

Buffy was the only one willing to pose ( Pumpkin and Simba in bed)

Sisters, Smoochie and Clawdia

Gabbie more relaxed!

What shall I do next? Hudson

Lulu says hello to the family, eating well and getting lots of pats

Oliver goes to bed early

Rebby much happier, says hello mum!

First of all congratulations to the Gold Coast Cat Club for a fantastic show yesterday, very well organized, lots of DIVINE cats and merchandise and generally a very pleasurable experience for cat people. Don’t miss it next time, for more information visit their website.

A drizzly Sunday morning makes it hard for the photographer to get good pics, most people in bed and the flash becomes a necessity. Still, beauty comes through inspite of everything. Note the Burmese invasion in all shapes and colours!

Smoochie relaxing in her tunnel

Monty says Hello!

Just sitting here, Monty

Cats can play soccer too!

Check out this video of Japanese cats playing soccer, these guys are fantastic!  Via The Daily Tail

Due to a bad back there will be no photos today in the blog sorry! but I thought I’d post some news on how the pusses are going.

Sylvester has remembered that he has been at the cattery many times before and is now settling well and very friendly. Rebby, a new face, came in yesterday and is still a bit nervous, we hope that she will get better as time goes by. Patches is going home tomorrow, we will sorely miss her!

Smoochie and Clawdia are  completely adjusted and getting along well. Boy these girls can eat! Oliver is still getting used to not being at home, complaining a bit but eating well and reasonably friendly.

Gabbie has decided that it’s OK to come out and spends her days in the courtyard in spite of  the cool weather. The low voltage WARM*A*PET heat pads are connected early and everybody goes to bed early except for Monty and Dweezil that want to make the most of the night spectacle that the bush offers. They are “urban” cats and find the bush fascinating. Eating well and getting along. And yes, they still trash their room many times a day in spite of being let out to run around quite often.

Lilly and Sasha very well, although Sash is not as happy as Lilly and wants cuddles ALL THE TIME.  They’re having fun and eating well and say hello to Matthew and Alexandra.

Ally is very placid and says yes to everything; gone are the days when she was a strong willed cat and it’s much easier to relate to her. Quite content from the basket to the box and eating well.

Beau still keeping the troublemakers under control and very keen on shutting everybody up. Eating well but not letting us brush him.

Gizmo and Bailey adorable as usual, Bailey complains about the menu but there’s nothing we can do about it: his choices are limited due to UTD . Meggs stealing the limelight, we’ve known him so long and once he stayed with us for months so he’s like a house cat.

Sabre a lovely cuddly black  cat had visitors yesterday and is feeling very good, he comes out in the corridor and inspects all the other cats through the doors, also getting a lot of pats due to being a sook. Smokey runs out to the corridor on every possible opportunity and then sits in one of the office chairs, he is a living soft toy.

Ram and Pharaoh very happy they have each other and that’s all that counts: beautiful and good natured as usual.

Emily eating well and reasonably happy says Hello mum! to Karynne.
