It is with great pain in our hearts that we have to announce the passing of Dearest Jasmine. She recently spent a few weeks at the cattery and on the last night, the same night when her mother was arriving back in the Gold Coast, she was unwell and we had to rush her to the Emergency Vet. Fortunately, mum was on the train from the airport and went to see her immediately. The Vet couldn’t find anything wrong, so she went home the following morning after a night on a drip. She had a good week at home chatting to her mum and enjoying life, but the week after she suddenly had a few violent seizures. The last one left her blind. The Vet thought it probably was a brain tumor and it was decided that she had to go heaven. We were shocked, we never thought it would be terminal, she was a young and healthy cat.
Jasmine was weary of us in the beginning but once she decided that we were OK, she got very friendly and chatty and I spent many afternoons with her sitting by my side. She was a very cuddly cat.
We are sending all our sympathy to her family, in this sad moment.
